On Wednesday, 2K president David Ismailer updated staff about this strategic move through an internal memo, which emphasized that playtesting had revealed the need for a more defined game identity.
The president stated that the developers is now refining the project with a refreshed approach, aiming to better meet gamer demands.

This announcement mirrors a comparable action taken by 2K Games in August, when they hired Rod Fergusson from the Diablo team to work on the BioShock development group.
